Session 2 Tuesday Nights -Dec. 8th - Jan. 4th
-- 6:50- 7:35 pm--BEGIN USING VIVA EL EPANOL

Week 1----Week 2- Greetings


Performance Standards:
  • Greet others
  • Respond to greetings
  • Ask names of others
  • Introduce self
  • Introduce others
  • Say goodbye

Content Standards- What they need to know in order to do it

  • Hello, good morning, good evening, good night, see you later, good bye, please, thank you, your welcome
  • the frog, what is the boy's name, what is the girl's name, what is your name, my name is, his/her name is, the boy, the girl


Week3-6-----Performance Standards- What they will be able to do-

  • Identify familiar classroom objects
  • identify school personnel
  • Recognize numbers 0-10

Content Standards- What they will need to know in order to do it
  • the teacher( male and female), the puppet, the calendar, the desk, the chalkboard,chalk,markers,the table, student desk, pencil, the number, 0, 1-10, Is?, No it is not, Yes, it is, the (male and female) See you tomorrow
  • VERBS__ point to, draw and recite

Week 3----4-
Performance Standards - What they will be able to do
  • Identify colors
  • Recite the days of the week
  • Ask/ tell the day of the week

Content Standards- What they will need to know in order to do it
  • the color, red, white,blue,black, yellow, green, brown,pink,gray, purple,orange, the week, Monday-Sunday, what day is today?, See you next time
  • Verbs- color, sing
Week 5--6
Performance Standards- What they will be able to do
  • Recognize numbers 11-20
  • Count 11-20
  • Ask/tell the name of a number
  • Identify shapes
  • Ask/tell the shape of an object
  • Ask/tell the color of an object

Content Standards- What they will need to know in order to do it
  • 11-20, the shape, circle,rectangle, square, octogon, what number is?, what shape is?, What color is?

*We will go faster if students need it.

We will use Viva el EspaƱol Curriculum.. it will include, puppets, student workbook, Audio CD, Posters, Classroom Library books, flash cards, songs on CD...." The curriculum is intended to develop communicative competency in listening, speaking , reading and writing." Wright group.
